March 20, 2025 – The Deputy Prime Minister’s (DPM) Office has received ten scholarship award letters from BSA Training Centre, marking a significant investment in education for vulnerable youth. The initiative aims to provide opportunities for those who have been unable to pursue further studies due to financial constraints.

BSA Training Centre Managing Director Bongani Dlamini reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting individuals who have yet to reach their full educational potential. He announced that BSA’s scholarship budget has been expanded from E260,000 to E1.3 million, allowing ten vulnerable students to benefit annually over the next five years. The move aligns with the government’s broader efforts to enhance access to education.

One of the beneficiaries, Thabile Seyama, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging the inclusivity of the DPM’s Office and celebrating the support given to young people in need. Another recipient, Senzo Hleta, extended his appreciation to Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla for her dedication to assisting vulnerable citizens and thanked BSA Training Centre for their generosity. He also acknowledged the role of Their Majesties in improving the lives of the disadvantaged.

Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla welcomed the E1.3 million scholarship commitment, calling it a crucial contribution to the nation’s development. She noted that many of the recipients are heads of households and that this opportunity will significantly empower them. She also confirmed that the government would cover transportation costs for the students, an additional investment of E101,000 per year.
