Mbabane: “Use lockdown to come up with new ideas”
These were words shared by many public officials when the country was heading for lockdown.
“While companies are closed due to lockdown, smart minds are busy coming up with new ideas” Autumn Studios Director Lwazi Dlamini Shared this sentiment in an interview with this reporter.
Lwazi Dlamini, a 26 years old tech entrepreneur based in Manzini, who has developed a search engine to help SMEs find any information or service they want locally.
Dlamini holds an Advanced Diploma in ICT and has done a lot of programming courses online which has boosted his love and skills in web design, development and programing. He runs a company which specializes on web design and development. As per the lockdown regulations, his company was also closed, giving him good time to develop new products.
Dlamini told this publication that said as an entrepreneur in technology, he has done many projects and this one he has just polished up during the lockdown and rolled it on April 20, 2020.

Falonfo is a new platform to transform the way small business and freelancers share information in Eswatini.
He said this is a search engine is linked and hosted with Google like Yahoo, Bing and many others. According to Dlamini, what is unique about this one is that it is engineered for emaSwati.
Explaining how it works, Dlamini said in this data driven economy, even big search engines produces their search results information fed to it. Likewise, Falonfo will rely on the searches performed to it and the information fed to it. He said the platform allows users to add information to it so that they can rank higher in search results.
“A user for example selling computer sales service, can go and click the “add new” information tab in the search engine. By so doing, Falonfo will save the information and when someone searches for a similar service it will pop up.
