Mbabane – It does not get any bigger than the Mbabane derby, by a margin, the biggest fixture in the land.
Mbabane Highlanders and bitter-sworn rivals Mbabane Swallows will face-off in the MoMo Cup play-off this Saturday, September 23 at Mavuso Sports Centre. This follows the draw of the two-day tournament done at Sigwaca House on Tuesday afternoon.
Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows have a date with Lozitha Spurs in an all National First Division fixture in the other play-off clash. The winners of these matches will join Nsingizini Hotspurs and Moneni Pirates in MoMo Cup finals on Sunday October 1.

This follows weeks of intense voting on the MoMo platform provided by the sponsors MTN Fintech where a whopping 150 000 000 votes were accumulated.
Highlanders made a last day push, gate crushing the all important top six, unseating Manzini Wanderers with a less than 100 000 votes margin. Both sides recorded over 8 million votes.
In a quest to avoid the play-offs, Swallows last day push saw them hit the 30 million mark in votes but lost out to Moneni Pirates by a few thousand votes. Nsingizini topped the charts with over 32 million votes.
“We appreciate the efforts made by team supporters in the voting exercise. We are creating a culture of using MoMo and we pray that our partnership with the sponsor will blossom in the coming years,” said the competition Management Committee Chairman Polycarp Dlamini.
