- The last time Swallows lost a match was against Mbabane Highlanders in January
Mbabane-Moneni Pirates are seeking to come away with three points from Mbabane Swallows in a league clash this afternoon. This after their impressive four game victories in their previous games.
Long serving captain in Menzi “Magawugawu” Simelane said “we need these three points and today’s game is a must win for us as we are trying to end the season in a respectable position. Swallows must come prepared for a tough game.”
The “sea robbers” will have to apply the highest level effectiveness for them to win because Mbabane Swallows are very protective of their points. The last time Swallows lost a match was against Mbabane Highlanders in January 23, 2022 at the Mavuso Sports Centre in an MTN League match during the first round of the season. They too are looking for the maximum points so that they can keep their hope of reaching the CAF Champions League participation dream alive.
In the first round Mbabane Swallows won 3-0 against Moneni Pirates. However, this time around there is a lot at stake for both teams. Moneni Pirates is fighting against relegation while Mbabane Swallows want to represent the country in the CAF Champions League. The match is scheduled for the King Sobhuza Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano.
