Mbabane – Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane will be the man in charge for the rest of the 2021/2022 campaign.
Tambankulu Callies have announced the former Royal Leopard and Tinyosi gaffer as the replacement of Mduduzi ‘Nyama’ Shongwe who reportedly left the sugar-belt outfit due to academic commitments.
Information reaching Independent News is that Ntibane and Callie’s reached an agreement for a short-term deal, renewable based on performance at the end of the current season.
Director Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba opted for Ntibane over Terisayi Changara who was also reportedly shortlisted for the job.
‘Nuro’s record speaks for itself as he has coached the country’s junior squad and captained the national team Under-17s during his days as a soccer player. He also led Royal Leopard to CAF inter-club competitions where he recorded an impressive run.
Ntibane is expected to lead Callies to at least a top four finish. This has been highlighted by the director who said that their aim was to finish the current season placed at a respectable position on the table and then qualify for CAF inter-club competitions in the upcoming season. The sugar-belt outfit has managed to finish the first round of the MTN premier league in the top eight bracket.
When reach for comment Tambankulu Callie’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mnotfo confirmed the report ‘’After the depature of Mduduzi “Nyama’’ Shongwe the team management decided to go for Ntibane on a short-term basis until the end of the season.’’ The Lubombo based ensemble (PRO) further said the team boss Sithembiso ‘’Ngudze’’ Mamba has given the coach a mandate to take the team to the top four bracket at the end the season.
