Mbabane: Siyabonga Bhembe will lead Denver Sundowns for the last time when they face Mbabane Highlanders in an MTN Premier League encounter this coming weekend.
According to a statement issued by the Manzini-based outfit on social media platforms, Bhembe will be leading the kappa boys for the last time as he will be leaving after getting a better offer.
“Denver Sundowns Football Club would like to announce the unexpected departure of their coach Mr. Siyabonga Bhembe. He has been with the team since last season and we were still looking forward to having him in a long term, unfortunately, he got a better offer.
We would like to thank him for being professional, never say die spirit, dedication, hard work, and a father to the players. He will be leading the team for the last time in our next big match against Mbabane Highlanders this coming weekend,” reads the statement.
Unconfirmed reports have linked the much-traveled coach and physical trainer to a return to either Mbabane Swallows or Mbabane Highlanders.
Last week, there were circulating rumours that Bhembe was heading back to Mbabane Highlanders, nonetheless, the latest reports link Bhembe with a return Swallows and he reportedly met the team President Bishop Bheki Lukhele and the team management yesterday and agreed on terms.
Bhembe is a former national team, Sihlangu, and Mbombela United physical trainer.
