Mbabane: Piggs-Peak Black Swallows, 0-1 defeat by the MTN league champions, Royal Leopard confirmed that next season they will be playing in National First Division.
The piggs-peak-based team has now joined Mhlume Peacemakers who got relegated last Saturday after a 2-1 defeat to Green Mamba. Black Swallows finished the season second from the bottom of the 16 team-league.
Black Swallows only accumulated 25 points in 30 games of the league. The relegation battle was between Black Swallows and Tabankulu Callie’s, these two teams were playing a different opponents in different venues but at the same time on Wednesday 11 August 2021.
Meanwhile Tabankulu Callie’s boss Sithembiso “Ngudze” Mamba once said they were not in the premier league to add numbers but to compete. Mamba said these words during their end-of-year party after getting promoted from the national first-division League. Their party was held at Magadzavane.
Black Swallows go to their last game against Royal Leopard under pressure and they were greatly in need of a win and praying that Callie’s get defeated so that they can survive the chop.
