Mbabane: The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has amended the MTN league fixture of the game between Young Buffaloes and Mbabane Highlanders. The match was initially scheduled for today
Wednesday, July 21, 2021, but now the game with the new fixture will now be played Thursday 22 July 2021 at the same venue, which is Mayaluka Stadium.
This is according to the amended fixture released by Premier League of Eswatini Chief Operation Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati yesterday. The Army side and the other two security forces team which are Green Mamba and Royal Leopard have not been in action due to their players being on international duty with the National team Sihlangu. The three security forces team were having more than three players in the National team thus forcing the (PLE) not to fixture them.
The National team returned to the country on Monday night and the PLE decided to postpone the fixture to allow the players to have some rest. The National team returned with a bronze from the (COSAFA) Cup which was played in neighboring South Africa.
About five players from the Army side were in the National team and now would be part of Young Buffaloes team that will set to face the capital city giant and also Mbabane Highlanders themselves will be looking forward to the return of their captain Sabelo “Sikhali “Ndzinisa and Sabelo “Sawa” Gamedze who was also in the national duty. In the reverse fixture, Mbabane Highlanders beat the army side 2-0 in Nhlangano in the first round. The (PLE) also postponed matches between Mbabane Swallows and Green Mamba and the game between Log leaders Royal Leopard and Manzini Sea Birds
