MBABANE: Army side Young Buffaloes loss of yesterday marked the end of their journey in the TOTAL CAF Confederation Cup on 4-1 aggregate score.
Amathole Ezinyathi lost the first round on a 2-1 score on the February 14 at Mavuso Sports Centre. Young Buffaloes the lost 2-0 in an away fixture in Tunisia.
The game was played behind closed door at TAib el Mehaini Stadium. The Army side ware led by Friday Mncina after their head couch Sabelo Mnisi was left behind and some of their senior players. Now Etoile join the group C which consist of CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, Burkina Faso and ASC Jaraaf of Senegal.
Following the elimination of the Army side now there will be only three teams left in the Council of Southern African Football Associations (COSAFA) region in the group stages of the African second biggest club tournament, which are Orlando Pirates of South Africa, Nkana Red Devils of Zambia and Napsa Stars. Buffaloes needed to score two or more goals to progress to the next stages.
