Mbabane: The national team, Sihlangu Semnikati is ready for the AFCON 2021 qualifiers’ game against Congo billed for the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat in Brazzaville tomorrow afternoon, November 11.
The national team held its first training session yesterday morning since arriving in that country. The Eswatini Football Association Marketing and Communication Officer, Muzi Radebe, confirmed the safety arrival of the team and further confirmed the training session. He added that the players look ready and fit and are geared for the encounter.
This game will be Head Coach Dominic Kunene’s first assignment since the departure of former national team coach Kostadin Papic in January this year. The nation’s pride, which is captained by Young Buffaloes player, Lindo Mkhonta, will host the return leg next week November 16, at Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini.
In the game, Sihlangu Semnikati will seek three points, which are more crucial for the country to advance to the next stage. Last week, the head coach said the team only needs 12 points to qualify for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers. Speaking on behalf of the team the captain sought the country’s prayers, saying they needed them the most.
