Mbabane: Eswatini senior women national team won their opening COSAFA Championship after thrashing Comoros 4-2.
Sitsebe SaMhlekazi came from two goals down to bag on three points in Group A.
It was a tremendous come back in the second half as they scored four goals to claim maximum points.
The goal scorers for Eswatini were Phumzile Dlamini (brace), Tenanile Ngcamphalala and Nonjabuliso Mokgale. Comoros goal scorers were Abdourahmene Hairyat and Atrium and Hadhiroimi.
The next match for Sitsebe will be on Friday against host South Africa at 3.30pm on the same grass, the Wolfson Stadium at Nelson Mandela Bay.
The 2020 COSAFA Women’s Championship got underway today, Tuesday with two Group A fixtures, including hosts South Africa and Angola later in the day.
