Mbabane: New Mbabane Swallows signing Nhlanhla ‘Jive’ Nkosi has paid tribute to his former team Moneni Pirates.
The attacking midfielder who still has a Ukrainian trial lined up was announced as a Mbabane Swallows player on Thursday afternoon, ending four worthwhile seasons at Pirates.
‘Jive’ said endings are never easy but they precede new beginnings.
“Thank you to all my teammates, coaches and whole Moneni family over the years. To have gone shoulder to shoulder in many battles with you has been an honour. I love you so much and thank you. You have celebrated with me when we have won and supported me when we lost. You’ve given me the platform to continue to chase my dream. Pushed me to want to be the best throughout. We did it all together,” the player said.
“I will never be able to put into words the love I have for you (fans). The support you have always given me, both personally and to the team, is phenomenal. You have been instrumental in my career and have inspired me and the team to always do best,” he added.
‘Jive’ continued that the journey is not over yet as there is still a long way to go.
“To the the Birds family thank you for the warm welcome. It’s a dream come true. I am hoping for the best,” he said before declaring that he was now flying with the Birds.
‘Jive’ joined the red and white giants alongside Denver Sundowns centre back Kingsley Kwakyi to take the number of new signings to three following the earlier arrival of Leon Manyisa on a season long loan from FC Vovovo.
