Mbabane: The Cable News Network (CNN)has reported that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has tested positive to the COVID-19 virus.
Hence, the star will not take part of France’s next two Nations League games against Sweden (5 September) and Croatia (8 September), France’s coach Didier Deschamps said in a press conference on Thursday.
“Paul Pogba was supposed to be in the list of players. Unfortunately for him, he got tested, and turned out positive,” Deschamps said.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele also wasn’t included in the France squad. He was placed in a 14-day quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19 several days ago, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.
