Mbabane: Former Sihlangu Semnikati and Mbabane Swallows want away striker Sandile Hlatjwako is reportedly staying with the beautiful “Birds”.
The forward whose contract expired last month is reportedly to have sign a one year contract with the birds. The was speculation of interest from sworn rivals Mbabane Highlanders who were interested to have the sharp forward to signed for them after he was shown the exit door by Mbabane Swallows last month.
The former Sihlangu striker is said to have signed a one year renewable deal with the birds. A source close to the matter reveal that the player has extended his stay with Swallows after he was shown the exit door last month with likes of other players in Vusumuzi Zungu, Siphamandla Dhlamini, Paito Dube and Richard Mcreesh among others. Mbabane Swallows Marketing and communication manager Mncoba Mabuza said the team will issue a statement in due course over the renewal of contracts when contacted over the matter.
A Formal and official communication regarding the extension and renewals of contracts at Mbabane Swallows will be communicated official through a press statement said Mabuza. The striker is among the seasoned players at Swallows in the past five years who help the beautiful birds to reach the group stages of Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League, and also take almost every cup in the kingdom of Eswatini wile under the guidance of veteran couch Thabo Koki Vilakati.
