Mbabane: Mbabane Highlanders coach, Dumsani “DU” Makhanya said Leon Manyisa will be of great value to the black and white ensemble.
The former under 17 and under 20 coach made it clear that the young talented Middlefielder will be a great asset to the Mbabane based side if he can sign on the dotted line. This, is after the Elangeni High school pupil was reportedly to be in the wish-list of the three heavy weights team in the likes of Manzini Wanderers, Mbabane Swallows and Mbabane Highlanders.
The former FC Van player is expected to have a team for the 2020/2021 season. “He is a good player any team will be happy to have him in their disposal,” said Makhanya. But Makhanya was quick to say all will depend on him (Manyisa), highlighting that all lies with the player ‘s decision.
Manyisa’s dream of plying his trade overseas was shattered when he was offloaded by Armenia’s FC Van in September last year and the worst happen when he came back to the country in October and was sidelined by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC) after it established that he was still a player for the Armenian’s side. Based on that conclusion, he was not eligible to play for any team in the current season.
It remains to be seen which team Manyisa will sign for between the three crowd pulling ones in the country, let alone the deal between him and Highlands Park in the neighboring South Africa where he was once linked to.
