Mbabane- The Manzini Wanderers and Denver Sundowns protest case has taken another twist.
Even before the written ruling of dismissing Wanderers case has been delivered, the maroon and white giants have submitted in a three-page letter already received by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) that the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) must with immediate effect investigate and decide on certain irregularities and unprofessional conduct by the Disciplinary Committee (DC) Chairman Thulani Sibandze.
Wanderers are challenging what they term a ‘special relationship’ between Sibandze and Denver Sundowns legal representative in the matter, Zakhele Dlamini.
According to Wanderers, the was a very gross irregularity in the DC hearing in that Sibandze has deliberately failed to conceal that he has a long standing cordial relationship with Dlamini.
“The two, as legal practitioners have constantly worked together on several occasions in Dlamini’s internal battles of Athletics Eswatini,” the letter read in part.
Dlamini is also president of Athletics Eswatini.
Wanderers also believe that Sibandze from the on set of the DC protest hearing was very antagonistic and literally very emotional, alleging that in one instance he described a submission by one of its legal representatives as ‘nonsense’.
Veracity of the allegations have not been tested nor has EFA and the PLE responded to Wanderers letter.
In supporting their plea and proving the ‘special relationship’ between Sibandze and Dlamini, Wanderers has annexed four documents in their letter; a disciplinary verdict against Selby Shongwe, a disciplinary verdict against Muzi Mabuza, media reports and Dlamini’s affidavit in the High Court Civil Case No.109/2024.
