With monthly premiums as low as E32 .00 not only do you secure a dignified send-off for your loved ones, you also get peace of mind and lessen the financial burden of a dignified funeral for your loved one.

Eswatini Post Insurance Funeral Cover gives you guaranteed protection against unforeseen events such as death. Our funeral cover packages are designed to lessen the financial burden should a loved one pass away giving you peace to grieve and preparing a decent final send-off for your loved ones.

Eswatini Post Insurance Funeral Cover is underwritten by Liberty Life has five plans, the Silver, Gold, Platinum, Sapphire, and Diamond cover plans. That interested clients could choose from according to their needs and affordability. On both covers, clients can have their cover paid out in 48 hours after six months waiting period.

Extended Family

Each of the cover options covers the policyholder, one spouse, and a maximum of four children with a choice to add two biological parents and parents-in-law as well as extended family members. For both funerals covers an additional amount of E12.00 for each extended family member and E25.00 for each of the biological parents or in-laws has to be paid.

Funeral Cover Eligibility

In terms of eligibility, only persons between 18 and 70 years can register as policyholders. For extended family members registered by the policyholder, only persons below 65 years while parents that can be registered must be below 80 years.

When does my funeral cover start?

Cover starts immediately after you have successfully completed the application process and you have paid your first premium. You can only claim for natural cause death if your policy has been active for six months. However, if death occurs due to an accident, you can claim immediately after your policy has been activated

How do I claim?

If someone covered on the policy passes away, you and/or your nominated beneficiary must go to the nearest EswatiniPost branch to claim.

How long does it take for a claim to be paid?

All valid claims will be paid within 48 hours after all the required claim documents have been submitted to EswatiniPost.

The following documents must be submitted during the claim process:

• Fully completed Claim Form

• Certified copy of the proof of identity of the deceased

• Certified copy of proof of identity of the beneficiary

• Police report (if death was due to an accident)

When will a claim not be valid?

A claim will not be valid when death occurs in the following instances:

1. Invasion or act of foreign enemy

2. Hostilities (whether war is declared or not)

3. Involvement in criminal activity

4. Suicide or self-inflicted injuries within the first 24 months following the commencement date.

5. The effects of radioactivity or nuclear explosion

6. Accidental Death as a result of riot, private flying, hazardous sports or any illegal acts where the deceased was directly involved.

7. Non-compliance to medical treatment
