Mbabane: Hardly three days after the Correctional service side Green Mamba released four players in Musa Dlamini, Thabiso Gumbi, Banele Mdluli, and Mpendulo Mamba, their Head couch Caleb Ngwenya has also tendered his resignation letter ahead of the new season. These happened on Friday where the couch was ending his four-year reign with the correctional service side.
Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mandla Sibiya when contacted confirmed the matter of the couch resignation “it is true the couch resigned on Friday from the team without any reason given to us as a team and we accepted his resignation letter” said the CEO.
Ngwenya who is former Sihlangu assistant coach and former national under 20 couch leads the correctional service side to the 2019/2020 MTN Premier League Champions and the 2020 Ingwenyama Cup Champions. Ngwenya also lead the “Inyoka Eluhlazana” to the 202 CAF Champions League preliminary round where they get an early exit from the hands of the Zambian giants Zesco United. The couch has been replaced by the former Mbabane Highlanders coach in Dumsane “DU” Makhanya who is also the Sitsebe Samhlekazi head couch. Makhanya is expected to start drilling the team Monday afternoon since the league is expected to get underway this coming weekend.
Our sources revealed that Ngwenya is heavily linked with the Motjane based assembly (Vovovo FC ) after in the previous week turned down Tinyosi FC head couch Sifiso “Nuro” Ntibane who was on the verge of joining the MTN Premier League returnees.
