Lavumisa: Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Jabulane’Buy Cash’Mabuza has officially launched Ka Myeni Chiefdom Development Plan (CDP).
The event took place yesterday Ka Vuma Royal Kraal. Also in attendance were senators, Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Tambo Gina, Lubombo RA representative, ESWADE CEO Samson Sithole amongst others.
The Ka Myeni CDP focuses on key activities such as potable water, education development, food security, business opportunities, youth development to mention but a few.
Marking his remarks, Mabuza applauded the small community for its vision.
“It is with great pleasure and honour for me to be part of this important day in Myeni Chiefdom.
“It is indeed an honor to stand here today and be part of a community that has a vision which is not only aligned to their personal needs but one is aligned National Development strategies and plans.
I also recognize that the activities highlighted in the CDP adhere to the SDGs and are clearly highlighted in participation from different groups which includes men, women, and Youth from the community.
“I congratulate you, members of the community, for coming up with such an initiative,” he said.
Mabuza further urged the community to take advantage of the already available resources including the Rural Development Fund and Youth Empowerment Fund.
“It is now my honour on behalf of His Majesty government to declare that Myeni Chiefdom Development Plan is officially launched,” he added.
…King entrust us to change people’s lives -MP Gina
Dr. Tambo Gina, the constituency MP says that His Majesty King Mswati III has entrusted them to change the nation’s livelihood.
Speaking yesterday, the MP urged the community to liaise with the Inkhundla Council.
“We have been entrusted by His Majesty to change people’s lives. I would like to give a thumbs up to the Ka Myeni community for coming up with the CDP,” he said.
Gina further praised Minister ‘Buy Cash’ for staying strong despite the spate of bombings in his Hardware.
Meanwhile, CDC Chairperson, make Simelane thanked ESWADE for making a difference in their lives.
“ESWADE took us from far. We have to stand up and implement strategies. We won’t develop if we sit down and fold our arms,” she said.
