Mbabane: Senior Superintended Clement Sihlongionyane’s house situated at Lubulini has been petrol bombed.
According to information, the incident happened on Monday night by unknown arsonists at his home situated at Madukwini under Lubulini Inkhundla.
Worth noting is that Sihlongonyane is the lead detective in the Terrorism case involving Hosea Member of Parliament Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Ngwempisi Member of Parliament Mthandeni Dube.
Shlongonyane was also investigating the case of the Operational Support Services Unit (OSSU) senior superintendent Vusi Enock Zulu who was arrested for allegedly OK Foods Supermarket. He has been at the forefront of investigations in a number of High profile cases.
Reached for comments Police Communication Information Officer (PICO), Pindile Vilakati confirmed the matter saying the incident happened last night and police are still are investigating the incident.
It is estimated that about E80 000 damages were incurred as a result of the incident.
This happens at a time when the country is celebrating 53 years.
Violent threats have been seen on social media where instigators of violence were targeting specific businesses and individuals believed to be protecting the state.
