Mbabane: A one-month-old female baby was found abandoned at Shoprite Mbabane.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has since issued a statement seeking the public’s assistance in locating a mother of a one-month-old baby.
Police Information and Communications Officer (PICO) Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, in the statement, urged members of the public who know a woman who had a baby and was now without a baby to contact the police urgently.
I a statement the police stated that “the baby that was found at the Mbabane Shoprite is a girl, dark in complexion and is estimated to be a month old.
“We request anyone who knows a woman who had a baby, but she is now seen without the baby to immediately contact a senior detective at the Hhohho region, Senior Superintendent Sikhumbuzo Fakudze on 7603 3862, Mbabane Desk Officer Assistant Superintendent Derrick Makhanya on 7608 9712, Lead investigation officer Gcina Dlamini on 7653 9622 or alternatively call 999/9999.
