Mbabane: Upon his return from Botswana and Lesotho, the Acting Prime Minister Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku unequivocally condemned violence and police brutality.
Speaking during a press conference held at Ngwenya Border Post on Sunday, Masuku said government this week will announce the terms of reference for a judicial inquiry to investigate the death of Thabani Nkhomonye.
Nkhomonye died the previous in a mysterious way which left his family and the public at large seeking answers to how the final year University student died.
The Acting Prime Minister said government wants to get to the bottom of the matter and will leave no stone unturned.
He asked for patience and calm from the Nation as government was working on the matter to find the whole truth. He said this week the government will announce all the details on the set up of the inquiry.
Meanwhile, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Pholile Shakantu assured the nation that this matter was being attended to and that the inquest to ascertain the facts relating to the death of Thabani will be conducted independently.
Shakantu took it to her twitter on Saturday to explain that appointment of the investigator is a legal process that requires gazetting to ensure that he or she has full and independent powers to investigate.
