Mbabane: Vice President of the Federation of Eswatini Business Community (FESBC) Hezekial Mabuza has passed on.
Mabuza was involved in a fatal car accident on Tuesday afternoon along the Manzini – Mbabane highway at Mkhondlolwane, Ezulwini. It was gathered that Mabuza was travelling alone when his car veered off for about 70 metres into the bush, bumping into a heap of sand.
When sought for comment this morning, FESBC President Henry ‘Tum’ du Pont confirmed the sad news of Mabuza’s passing. He said in vernacular “Ngicedza kushayelwa ngu first vice president wetfu, watsi sesilimalelwe ngu Mabuza unfortunately ubese uyasishiya emhlabeni”. Which can be loosely translated as “I had just been notified by my first vice president who told me about Mabuza’s demise”.
At the time of the telephonic interview with this publication, Du-Pont said he was still on the road, hence nothing much to say.
Mabuza was also the Managing Director of HM holdings which comprises of HM stationaries amongst others. During his time he was Chairman of Global Business Roundtable (GBR), Swaziland Stationery Trade Association and he was a Committee Member of Custom to business Forum (SRA). Mr. Mabuza was also a member of Mbabane Mbuluzi Rotary Club.
Mabuza served as a Board Member at Public Service Pension Fund (PSPF).
Chief Police Information and Communications officer Phindile Vilakati confirmed the accident.
