Mbabane: The continued poor service at government offices make the public fail to comply with the COVID-19 regulation; social distance to be more precise.
A visit by this reporter on Monday to the government revenue offices in Matsapha saw bunched up EmaSwati queuing for multiple services at the revenue offices.
Musa* one of the people who stood in the queue told this reporter that he came to the offices as early as 6 am but up to 11am he was still outside waiting to renew his license disk for his car. He lamented on the issue of the social distance as most people were not complying with the regulation. He said he would not blame them as everyone was rushing to get attended and the only people to blame are the officials in the offices. He said the service is very slow.
Interestingly, Musa revealed that the reason the service is slow at times is because there are certain individuals who often come with envelopes full of documents and they would not queue but simply head straight to the counter, leave the envelope and return later to collect it and it’s been done dusted.
