Mbabane: It’s back to workfor teachers.
The Ministry of Education and Training has called all teachers to report for duty on Monday June 29, 2020.
This is according to an announcement made by the ministry of education Principal Secretary Bertram Stewart on national radio Eswatini Broadcasting and information service on Tuesday.
Stewart announced that all teachers in high school are expected to report to their duty stations as of Monday June 29, 2020, to assist administration in terms of preparing and administering all the protocols that will assist government to contain the corona virus especially among learners.
Notwithstanding the fact that it will be only form 5 who will be opening on July 6, Stewart said all teachers in high school are expected to report to their schools in order to assist the administration.
It has been hinted that as of Monday teachers will be given training on how to conduct themselves during the era of the pandemic.
This happens at a time when the minister of education and training Lady Howard Mabuza has opened up that the ministry needs at least 56 million to open schools in a safe manner that will help contain the virus.
She said the money was needed to buy personal protective equipment and other material that will make learning possible in the midst of the pandemic.
