Mbabane: On behalf of His Majesty King Mswati III, Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini this morning received medical supplies comprising of masks, visors, hygiene caps, medical coats, sanitiser, chloroquine, among others from His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.
Receiving the medical supplies at King Mswati III International Airport, Prime Minister said it’s a moving gesture of Africans coming to the assistance of fellow Africans. Dlamini said it is humbling that while Morocco is also facing a similar #COVID19 challenge, His Majesty King Mohammed VI found it in his good heart to factor in the people of Eswatini to offer a helping hand.
“This is a clear manifestation of the fraternal & warm relations between the two Kingdoms of Morocco & Eswatini. More than anything, it is a great opportunity for all to witness the enduring leadership of King Mohamed VI in the continent of Africa and beyond.” Dlamini said.
The primier also congratulated Morocco for its positive compliance to the “rules of origin” by donating supplies made in Morocco by Moroccans, which widens the window of hope for Africa’s prospects of realizing Agenda 2063, sooner than the year itself.
Dlamini appealed to emaSwati to continue following all the health precautions as presented by the WHO and the Ministry of Health.
Morocco Representative Redouane Houssaini said since taking the throne in 1999, King Mohammed VI has given high priority to African solidarity. Through this donation, which covers all five African regions, Morocco shows the possibility of bringing an African response to African challenges.
Houssainimeet emphasized that all products were made in Morocco and meet WHO standards.
“The long-standing relationship between Their Majesties King Mswati III & King Mohammed VI shows how close our two people are. We might be very far apart but we are close by heart.” Houssainimeet said.
