Mbabane: Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini said the country has benefitted from the efficiency of the Tinkhundla System of Government in managing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Speaking during the COVID-19 sensitization campaign at Mhlambanyatsi Constituency, Dlamini said this sensitisation demonstrates the strength and relevance of the Tinkhundla system whose core mandate is grassroots development. Government is benefiting from its efficiency as it has a strong link with the people on the ground to ensure that #COVID19 messages are spread.
PM added that through using Tinkhundla structures, government have been able to spread #COVID19 information that is crucial in equipping all the people at all levels on how to deal with the pandemic. “Knowledge is power & Government is confident that the sensitisation exercise has impacted positively” Dlamini said.
Dlamini hailed Their Majesties who have taken a leading role in this fight. It was His Majesty King Mswati III who commanded Government to declare a National Emergency which gave birth to the National Task Force that is coordinating all the efforts to fight #COVID19.
COVID19 sensitisation campaign for the Mhlambanyatsi Inkhundla was the last one in the Manzini Region. Dlamini revealed that residents have been educated by the Ministry of Health as well as Police Officers who have stressed the importance of observing & complying with all health precautions & #COVID19 regulations.
