Cop confess of killing wife and her makhwapheni

Mbabane: A police officer, Malangeni Dlamini, based at Matsapha Police Academy is suspected to be behind the killing of the couple at Madonsa, Extension 6, Manzini on Tuesday morning.

Independent News has learnt that the suspect whose rank is that of a constable is also an armoire at the police service and is  is suspected to  have used a service pistol when committing the murder more so because he was the one responsible for the keys to where the guns are kept.

Reliable sources within the police service told Independent News that the female police officer who was also killed by the suspect was also a police officer based in Matsapha but working under Royal Guard, adding that the male victim was not a police.

The Deputy Police Information and Communication Officer Nosipho Mnguni confirmed the murder of the two allegedly by Dlamini. By the time of compiling this report, Mnguni said she had been informed that the suspect was being accompanied to the Manzini Magistrates’ Court by his relatives after he allegedly confirmed to them (family) to have killed the duo. “According to information that have reached our office, the suspect is yet to appear in court this afternoon (Tuesday) because he confessed to have killed the duo, the female being his wife and the male is suspected to be a Makhwapheni to the deceased wife,” Mnguni said.

She said she was yet to establish what would be the charges to be pressed against the suspect.
