The case of convicted former parliamentarians Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube failed to take off on Tuesday morning, leaving hordes of supporters disappointed. The matter was postponed to February 20 next year after brief appearances before High Court Judge Mumcy Dlamini. The pair is expected to make oral submissions in mitigation of their sentences following their conviction. They were facing charges under the country’s terrorism laws, together with another one of murder. This was after they were apprehended subsequent to the turmoil which beseiged the country two years ago, in June 2021.
