His Majesty King Mswati III said he listened keenly on what elections observers from the Southern African Development Community (SADC), African Union, United Nations (UN) and other groupings will say or conclude on the country’s recent national elections.
“One cannot beat his own drum but when I listened to their reports, all reported that the elections were free and fair,” he said.
The conclusion in the observation process according to the king was an applause to Emaswati for a job well done. He also applauded all nominated individuals from the different portfolios; Bucopho, Indvuna Yenkhundla and Member of Parliament who unfortunately did not make it for the courage of bringing their supporters in numbers to participate in the national elections.
With unconfirmed reports of money for votes in the Senate elections recently, the king said he assumed everything went according to procedure as they were currently no official reported cases.
