Mbabane: His Majesty King Mswati III has commanded a state funeral for the late Minister of Public Service Christian Myekeni Ntshangase, who died on January 16, 2020.
Ntshangase died while he was being treated for COVID-19 related illnesses.
According to the press statement issued by the Acting Prime Minister Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku on Wednesday evening, the Minister will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 23, 2020. The state funeral will be held in his honour at his homestead at Mkhwakhweni in the Shiselweni Region.

The late Minister died just after a few weeks after the death of the Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini who also succumbed to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Ntshangase has been just followed by yet another Politian in Senator Jimmy Hlophe who has also succumbed to COVID-19. Hlophe’s demise was confirmed by the Deputy Senate President Ndumiso Mdluli on Wednesday morning.
