Mbabane: Their Majesties the King and the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Eswatini are optimistic and hoping that hope God will be gracious enough and give us someone else this exceptional like the late Prime Minister His Excellence Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini.
This said by Their Majesties’ Representative Prince Mabandla during Dlamini’s State Funeral Service held at Enhlanhleni in the Manzini Region. Prince Mabandla said Their Majesties are devastated by the loss of this great man and they are hoping God will be gracious enough and give the nation someone else this exceptional like the late Dlamini.
The late Prime Minister was described as a God-fearing leader and man of integrity; who led the country with passion and vigour.
Government Representative Minister Christian Ntshangase said the cabinet will miss His Excellency’s astute leadership, his drive and fortitude and the calm way within which he steered the ship during the most turbulent times. “We will miss his passion which drove his desire to achieve an economic recovery as a servant of Their Majesties and the Eswatini nation,” said Nthsangase.
The Prime Minister’s Friend Dr Phil Mnisi said he met the PM through a mutual friend in 1986. Mnisi said Dlamini had a lot of friends but his best friend was his wife Portia. Mnisi said the late PM would not compromise honesty. “He was friendly and humble; a consistent and caring man. This was a man who was committed.”
Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland said the Prime Minister cared deeply about the socio economic environment of Eswatini. She said Eswatini has lost a great leader.
Family Representative Pastor Thandokuhle Mdziniso thanked Their Majesties for trusting their son with the responsibility to lead Government. Mdziniso further thanked everyone who supported and advised the late PM as he was carrying out the difficult task of reviving the economy.
