Mbabane: Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini has been admitted to one of the country’s hospitals after he developed mild symptoms of the coronavirus.
In a statement issued by the government Spokesperson Sabelo Dlamini on Monday, it was revealed that the Prime Minister was admitted at the hospital on Monday morning after doctors’ recommendations.
The Prime Minister was confirmed positive of the coronavirus on November 15 and he has been in self-isolation at his home until this date when he was admitted at an unnamed hospital.
On November 20 the Premier sent a message to the nation where he appreciated EmaSwati and all those who sent him messages of support during his period in isolation.
In his message, the Prime Minister encouraged the nation to stay in touch with those who have gone into isolation and especially those in hospital. Meanwhile, the total number of confirmed cases in Eswatini now stands at 6 219, while 5 858 people have recuperated.
