Mbabane: The 2020 Lusip Monster Fish Competition was a great success.
Belinda Forbes speaking to this publication said the competition was a huge success hence over 26 000 was raised. The competition was held at the Lusip dam in Siphfaneni on Saturday November 14, 2020.
Unpacking the winners of the tiger category Belinda stated that Daryl McKenzie who caught a 3.6KG tiger won the First Price in the Biggest Tiger category, Second Price on the Biggest Tiger was won by Dave Laurence with a 3.1KG tiger, and the Junior Biggest Tiger was won by Carter Mckenzie who caught a 2.3KG tiger.
Belinda noted that this year the bass, as a result there were no prices allocated to that category
She stated that about E26, 000.00 was raised this and will be used to contribute in buying food hampers which will be distributed to the less privileged in Siphofaneni.
The Lusip Monster Fish Competition is a family friendly event and gives people the opportunity to relax in solitude, freeing the mind from all distractions of everyday life and enjoying the beauty of nature surrounding them in Eswatini. It is a perfect time for like-minded people to compete in a fishing Competition, socialize, unwind and relax after a year of many uncertainties.
