Sands featured in Lesotho Tourism Festival

Local artist, Sandziso 'Sands' Matsebula

Mbabane: Flying Eswatini flag in the mountainous Basotho Kingdom, Ngiyathandaza hit maker has been featured to perform at the Lesotho Tourism Festival (LETOFE).

Sands, real name Sandziso Matsebula will perform alongside legendary artist Tsepo Tsola whom he featured in the Ngiyathandaza hit, which was released last year. Also part of the lineup is Don Laka, Sipho Hiotstix Mabuse, Stimela Selimo, Mookho, Maleh and Juvy.

The Lesotho Tourism Festival is an annual event happening every December. Some of the activities wich forms part of the festival are The Main Jazz Festival, Divas Concert, Poetry, Comedy Nights, Tour Packages, Parties, Golf Tournament, CSI projects and many more.

Sandziso confirmed to this publication saying “yes I have been confirmed for LETOFE”. This is one of the biggest festivals in Lesotho and it will be my second time performing on the Thaba Bosiu main stage, he said.

He highlighted that he was excited about having an opportunity to perform at the LETOFE since it has been a long year without performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To grace it again is special for me and I can’t wait – sharing the stage with all these legends and representing Eswatini is going to be an honor”.

Sands disclosed that he will definitely be performing new music from his upcoming album the Rythm of Sands. “As expected we won’t leave out the best songs from the previous album” I am preparing a special set for LETOFE, he added.

Asked about locals show, Sands said they have a couple of performances lined up the festive season, but most of them will be private functions and bookings.
