Beezae “Say That Again” Virtual poetry show reaches 2.6k views

Mbabane: “Say that again” virtual poetry show has reached over 2.k views.

The show was hosted by Word smith Betfusile “Beezae Mamba, live on social media platforms, Evolve Studios Facebook page.

Speaking to the entertainment desk, the jovial Beezae said he was very impressed to receive such support from fans on her very first virtual show.

Reacting to the ever increasing viewers and positive feedback from comments, Beezae said she was very much humbled by the reception more than anything. “It’s the personal response from people who relate that touched me the most, knowing that my poems were of positive impact and a tool towards a healing journey in their lives”.

Theme

Speaking on the theme of the show Beezae said she chose the theme “Say that again” because she wanted something intriguing and mysterious. “Say that again, brought the intensity of the poems without explicitly saying it is about to get deep”, she said.

Beezae is not new to poetry, she told the entertainment desk that she started poetry back in 2016, and she was inspired by her Conductor and Proton back at Kwaluseni.

As a passionate artist Beezae has already professionally recorded some of her poems, with collaboration with Sifiso M. She said she was also looking forward into having more collaborations coming.

Show

Explaining how the show come about, Beezae said after the Eswatini Lockdown Online Talent Show, she wanted something to engage with her audience and show appreciation for supporting her.

She said after speaking to different people Evolve studios come and sponsor the virtual show by professionally live streaming and providing a platform for her as an upcoming artist to showcase her craft. She said she was thankful to Evolve Studios management for the setup and ensuring that the show was done professionally.

Beezae encouraged artists should be open to new things all the time and making use of technology. “Online shows reach the audience that doesn’t normally go to our events and your Online Show may be the one to convince them otherwise’. ‘It’s also international so there is no reason not to dive into the virtual world”.

Reacting on the show, one of Evolve Studios directors Lunga Shongwe said she was so proud and impressed by the talent in Beezae and as a company they thought of giving her a chance to showcase her talent in a virtual show.

Lunga Shongwe, was echoed by Ntsandvo Magagula, who is also a core founder of Evolve Studios that it was always at the heart of his company to help the entertainment industry to thrive amid the corona virus pandemic, by delivering the best live productions and live streaming of shows on multiple digital platforms.

He highlighted that the company has worked with a number of stakeholders in the industry, live streaming shows and making it possible to get maximum reach. His company has worked with Swazi Boy, Tik Tok Eswatini, Smallz The Comedian, Linda Dlamini, Lockdown Gospel Music awards and many others.
