Mbabane: New kid on the block, Emmkai will be releasing an extended play (EP) titled “I Was Born for It.”
The rapper whose real name is Nkosenhle Mbulenhle Masuku hails from the Shiselweni Region.
Emmkai told Independent News that the EP will consist of eight tracks, where he will be telling people a story about himself through music.
The artist revealed that having discovered his talent in music, he needed the support of music lovers in the country so that he could become the person that he envisioned in his dreams.
“My EP will be talking about struggles in life and how people tend to give up on their dreams because of lack of opportunities to pursue them,” he said.
“Life is hard I’m sure everybody knows that, but we got to survive and nobody was born empty handed but everyone was born with God’s blessings in a form of talents to fulfil on earth,” he added.
He stated that the EP would be available on Audiomack for those who prefer digital stores and copies would also be available for those who prefer compact discs.
The rapper from Shiselweni went on to say he would be working with various artists who are still underground rappers like himself.
“I started from the bottom and I am still there, but I am aiming to get to the top,” he said. He further disclosed that he is working on a song with one of his friends called Offspring “as we are a crew (Swazi vibe Gang) and we have been featured by a Malawian vocalist who have recognized our work and we will do our best not to disappoint our fans.”
Emmkai mentioned that there would be a collaboration with Admure from Malawi as well as C’viva from Angola and MC Rock from Namibia, and they will work hard to excel since they believe they will be representing the country.
