Mbabane: Eswatini artists can now stream their music online locally.
As artists are being encouraged to adapt to the new normal and explore the digital space, Kitsi Music has provided an online music streaming platform where local artist can stream their music for free.
Kitsi Music has opened its platform www.kitsimusic.com to every local artist who wishes to have their music streamed and marketed at no cost.
Kitsi Music, is a talent booking and event management agency dedicated to developing the international touring careers of exceptional local talents. The agency is dedicated to develop with vision, expertise and integrity, the touring careers of exceptional Eswatini artists who do not only connect, inspire and transform their audience but also remain true to the essence of their art.
A statement sent to this publication states that despite that music fans have a wide variety of streaming options available; none is exclusive and strictly Swazi music.
“All interested artist can simply send an email of interest to vusani@kitsimusic.com and that is where a step by step process of getting your music on the site will be shared, and none of the music on the site will be available for downloads or sale and only registered music will be accepted” reads the statement.
Eswatini arts industry has been slow in adapting to digital and as the coronavirus pandemic bites, the industry was badly affected as a lot of upcoming gigs and tours were halted not only locally but also globally.
In the neighboring countries artists and event organizers have started hosting online shows to ensure that they still distribute their content to fans even during the lockdown.
