A statement sent to this publication states that despite that music fans have a wide variety of streaming options available; none is exclusive and strictly Swazi music.
“All interested artist can simply send an email of interest to firstname.lastname@example.org and that is where a step by step process of getting your music on the site will be shared, and none of the music on the site will be available for downloads or sale and only registered music will be accepted” reads the statement.
Eswatini arts industry has been slow in adapting to digital and as the coronavirus pandemic bites, the industry was badly affected as a lot of upcoming gigs and tours were halted not only locally but also globally.
In the neighboring countries artists and event organizers have started hosting online shows to ensure that they still distribute their content to fans even during the lockdown.
