Mbabane: The Manzini region has recorded 1022 confirmed cases as of July 25, standing at 48 percent of the total cases in Eswatini.
In the daily reports by the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi on Saturday, there 69 newly confirmed cases bring the total number of cases in the country to 2142.
Manzini region remains the mostly affected region hence was declared as the epicenter of the pandemic in the country. Manzini is followed by the Hhohho region which has also seen a drastic increase in the past few weeks as it now stands at 811.
Shiselweni region has also seen an increase in cases as now there are now 168 cases reported from the region. Shiselweni was the least affected region during the early days since the outbreak of the pandemic but things changed along the beginning of July as more cases were reported from the region and it saw the region passing the Lubombo region and taking the 3rd position and Lubombo now stands at 141 cases making the region to come 4th.
On another note, Nkosi announced that the number of recoveries has also increased to 940 as 11 recoveries were reported on this date.
