Mbabane: Eswatini has reported 54 new COVID-19 cases and 23 recoveries.
In the daily reports, the Ministry of Health said the total number of confirmed cases had risen to 1311. The newly confirmed cases comes from 444 test results that were received by the ministry on this date.
23 recoveries have been recorded bringing the total number of recoveries to 656.
Manzini remains the epicenter of the pandemic in the country as 691 cases are from Manzini region. Hhohho region has recorded 399 cases, while Lubombo and Shiselweni regions have recorded 110 and 111 cases respectively.
The massive increase comes after the country has embarked on easing lockdown while making alterations to work and Social life that could last for a year or more until vaccine is available.
