Mbabane: The total number infections confirmed in Eswatini now stands at 988 as 34 new cases confirmed on Sunday.
Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi, through a Ministerial statement has announced that out of 363 results received by the ministry of health, 34 came out positive.
Nkosi also revealed that the number of recoveries has also increased to 547 as 12 patients discharged on Sunday.
The number of deaths still stands at 13 as there has been no death recorded for the past two days.
Manzini has recorded 548 cases of the total number of infections in the kingdom of Eswatini, followed by Hhohho region with 249. Lubombo and Shiselweni regions have recorded 97 and 94 cases respectively.
The public is encouraged to continue adhering to all health precautionary measures given by the ministry of health and World Health Organization and this include regular washing of hands with running water and soap, practicing social distancing and wearing masks whenever one is going out.
