Mbabane: The total number of cases has increased to 690 as 16 new cases confirmed on Wednesday along with 12 new recoveries.
Minister of Health Lizzie revealed that out of 319 results received, only 16 came out positive. Nkosi said eight of the newly confirmed cases are from Manzini, six from Hhohho and two from Lubombo region.
Nkosi revealed that 14 of the new cases are asymptomatic while two presented mild and severe diseases.
Minister Nkosi went on to reveal that the total number of men who have been infected with COVID-19 is above that of females as out of the 690 cases, 356 are males and 334 are females.
Nkosi urged the public to continue observing health precautions given by the ministry of health and World Health Organization. This includes washing of hands with running water or use alcohol based sanitizers, wearing of masks remains mandatory whenever one is going out. Practice of social distancing is still encouraged as means to curb the spread of the virus.
