Mbabane: Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced 23 new confirmed and 5 more recoveries.
The total number of cases now stands 586 of which 267 have recovered and 4 have died.
Manzini remains the epicenter of the pandemic in the country as most confirmed cases come from the region, of the total cases 58.7% are from the Manzini region, followed by Hhohho region with 23.2%, Lubombo with 10.9% and lastly is Shiselweni region with 7.2%.
The number of tests conducted in a day shows to be improved as 315 results were received on Thursday, of which 292 came out negative and 23 tested positive.
Nkosi has once again encouraged the public to continue adhering to all health measures given by the ministry of health and World Health Organization. This measures includes washing of hands with running water and soap, practicing social distancing, wearing of masks and staying at home for those who are not going to work or to buy food.
Eswatini as a member of the African Union is amongst the 54 member states who according to African Centre of Disease Control and Prevention have reported 268 391 cases, 7 217 deaths and 123 139 recoveries, as of June 18.
