Mbabane: The total number of confirmed cases in Eswatini has increased to 333 as 11 new infections confirmed on Sunday.

Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has revealed that the ministry received 137 results of which 126 tested negative and 11 tested positive.

Eswatini is currently standing with 105 active cases as 35 cases are admitted at the hospital, 59 are undergoing home care treatment and the 11 new registration for care.

This date results indicate that nine (9) of the new cases are from the Hhohho Region and two (2) are from Manzini Region. Amongst the new cases there is 1 year old female from Manzini Region and that suggest that the number of infants who have contracted COVID-19 has increased as they are now 27 children who have been infected with COVID-19 in the country.

Minister Nkosi said the cumulative graph shows an upward trend due to increasing of new cases. The epidemic curve suggest not to be flattening as yet so the public is further urged to continue adhering to all health measures given by the ministry of health and World Health Organization.

Nkosi further went on to appreciating all frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19 in the country, this include health care workers, armed forces, rapid response teams to name but a few. Nkosi urged all of them to continue with their tremendous job they are doing on the ground.
