Mbabane: Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced another COVID-19 death, toll increases to three (3) deaths in Eswatini.
Nkosi revealed that the patient who has died of COVID-19 is a 42 year old male from the Manzini region. The first COVID-19 death in Eswatini was recorded on April 16 and the 2nd death was recorded on May 6. This brings the total of deaths to three (3) out of the total of 293 confirmed infections.
Eight (8) new cases have been confirmed on Monday while the number of recoveries has also increased to 194 as five (5) new recoveries recorded.
Six (6) of the new cases are from the Manzini region while the two (2) are from Hhohho region. The new records indicates that the total number of cases from Manzini has increased to 182 followed by Hhohho region with 60 cases while 28 and 23 are from Lubombo and Shiselweni regions respectively.
The Ministry of health has reminded the public that wearing of masks remains mandatory, however, people with asthma and other respiratory conditions are urged to seek medical advice, but also take mask off as/and when in need of more air.
The Minister has appreciated all frontline healthcare workers have been working tirelessly in the fight against COVID-19 in the country.
