Mbabane: Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced for the second time that Eswatini has had no new cases following May 15 where there was also no new case recorded.
Nkosi made this announcement at the cabinet offices on Friday when giving update about Eswatini response to COVID-19. Nkosi said the ministry received 116 results and all of them came out negative. This records shows that the total number of confirmed cases in Eswatini stands at 279 that was recorded on Thursday (May 28), with a total of 168 recoveries and two (2) deaths.
Nkosi went on the give a breakdown of the age groups of the confirmed cases. The breakdown stands as follows:

71 of the patients are admitted at the Lubombo Referral Hospital, 38 are being treated from home, 168 have been cleared of the virus and total deaths stands at 2.
The Minister said since the country is moving along further easing of the lockdown, the ministry of health will increase rapid response teams more especially in the Manzini region as the epicenter of the pandemic in the country.
Nkosi lauded all frontline healthcare workers have been working tirelessly in treating infected patients in the country. Nkosi also appreciated law enforcement officials who have been assisting the ministry in curbing the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom as Police have been conducting screening for temperatures during roadblocks that were all over the country.
