“It is important that today’s results do not scare us. They are a result, in part, of an upscale testing, that we have embarked upon this week, using rapid test kits and also extended working hours of our labs” Nkosi said.
Nkosi went on to urging 50 years and above elders and patients with existing medical conditions including diabetics, hypertension and heart problems to take extra prevention of COVID-19.
Adding to that, the Minister revealed that four(4) Pavillion Halls at Mavuso Trade a d Exhibition Centre are being upgraded so to house 140 COVID-19 patients. Nkosi said patients to be admitted at this venue are the asymptomatic patients and those with mild symptoms.
This sharp increase in number of cases comes in whilst the country is preparing to open the economy following the Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini announcement on easing of the lockdown by Friday May 8, 2020. The country is looking forward into opening of more businesses and allowing more movement of people from place to place.
