Mbabane: First National Bank has come out to clear circulating widespread rumours about staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 and the alleged closure of the bank.
The bank’s Human Capital Department has issued a statement that clears that the bank is not aware of any staff member who tested positive and also that the Matsapha Branch is not closed.
This comes after one staff member was reported to have a relative who tested positive for COVID-19. The bank highlighted to be aware of that matter and has acted swiftly by asking the staff member to be based at home while the bank is co-operating with the Ministry of Health. FNB has revealed that like any corporates, it will follow guidelines given by the Ministry of Health to help any employees who might need medical attention and protect others.
The bank has requested all their staff members to remain vigilant and avoid sending social media messages that impact the Bank as such will be seen by outsiders to validate inaccurate information.
