Mbabane: The numbers are growing day by day
Eswatini has recorded 1 more COVID-19 positive case, which has seen the number of cases growing to 32.
This was announced by the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi on Wednesday afternoon in a press statement.
Announcing results, the Minister of Health through the statement stated that, “the Ministry received 40 results of which 39 were negative and one come out positive, bringing the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 32”.
“The 32nd case is a 26 years old female residing in the Manzini Region, who presented with mild illness and has no history of travel or contact with a confirmed case, contact tracing has begun”, reads part of the statement.
To date Eswatini has 32 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 10 cases have been treated, 20 are still undergoing treatment and only one has died.
The Minister of Health said contact tracing has already stated for the confirmed case. She urged the public to adhere to the covid-19 regulations and take precautions as advised by the Ministry and World Health Organization (WHO).
The Ministry continues to urge the public to wash their hands frequently with soap and running water or use hand sanitizer and to observe hand hygiene always, avoiding touching their faces, and avoiding close contact with (staying at least one meter away from) other people
When coughing or sneezing people are urged to cover to cover their mouth or preferably use a face mask.
The public is also urged to cooperate with rapid response teams as they go about their duties of finding contacts of positive cases.
