EPTC boosts competitive edge, delivers parcels to your door

Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) Acting Managing Director Amon Dlamini

Mbabane: Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) has launched its door-to-door delivery service dubbed “Khululeka Sita Kuwe”.

The launch of the door-to-door is a game-changer for EPTC and the local parcel delivery business, as anyone who needs to get a small parcel somewhere urgently can now have their parcel delivered within 24 hours along the length of the prescribed area, without having to travel.

Unpacking the service, Eswatini Post General Manager, Mbongiseni Nkambule said the company has opened up and is ready to welcome customers, and pick up parcels to their respective destinations.

For a start Nkambule said the service will be piloted to areas within a 5 km radius from the post office and will cost customers from E50 to transport the parcel, adding that parcels will be transported within 24 hours time frame.

Nkambule highlighted that the Eswatini Post network is very broad but for a start, the service will cover the Mbabane Manzini corridor and it will soon be extended to other regions.

Nkambule said parcels can be taken from the door of a customer to the post office and to any destination of choice.  “The parcel can be taken from the Eswatini Post sorting centre to international destinations,” Nkambule said.

Parcels that could be transported are from 30kg to at least 500kg. EPTC’s general manager said they transport everything legally approved for transportation.

In terms of payments, the general manager said as an organization they were moving towards the digital space and therefore encourages customers to use the payment digital means of payment. However, they said they will be taking cash but encourages clients to pay via digital.

EPTC Acting Managing Director Amon Dlamini said the product is in line with the company’s 5-year strategic plan 2020 – 2025 which is to provide improved services that will offer convenience to customers.

Dlamini said the door-to-door service is one of the key products by the Eswatini Post which is part of their 5 yeas strategic plan. According to Dlamini the plan seek to outline the toads that the company has to take in the next 5 years.

“It is at the heart of that strategy that we continually seek to innovate and bring to the public products that will help add like, products that will make doing business easy for everyone, above all this, the strategy is mean to make the company relevant to the community it serves,” said Dlamini.

With the products, it is to say Eswatini post now plays at the last line of the delivery service

This will help customers source products and services where ever they are and get their products delivered at the doorsteps. As the delivery continues the MD said the company will ensure safety for everyone and compliance with all the health protocols.
